Filming:
On the filming day I did several visual and audio tests as you can see in the following clip:
Here's a quick video of me testing the camera set up and seeing if the angle was right for what I needed, as you can hear, this was during the time where I had problems setting up the mic.
Here are some bloopers or over bad clips that I couldn't fit into the final piece.
For example the long shot of me biking away wouldn't work at all because the sun ruined the shot but I didn't realise until I had filmed 2 separate takes and I don't think it would've worked well even if the shot had no issues. I definitely liked its replacements shot way more as it just works better.
Graphics:
For the end screen I made a graphic which tells the audience everything they need to use the companies service as you can see here:
What I did to produce this simple graphic was download each social media logo (as a png) along with the Companies logo. I researched to find the companies different social medias and web address and compiled them simply onto this End Card. The point of this is to send the traffic from the advertisement to the site where they can buy a bicycle or their social media where they can follow the company and get updates on any future deals, promotions, releases, etc.was just a quick and easy 500 x 500 px icon size with a circle dead centre with the needed text in the bubble
I did "produce" other graphics but i decided not to use them in the final piece as they didn't fit in with the sequence of shots. Here they are:
I Acquired the images through a non copyright free stock photo website and thought that they would fit in nicely with the feel of my advert but with later thought while editing i decide that they wouldn't fit in with the ad.
For these i just simply place the PaulsCycles logo in the most convenient and eye catching spots. Just a quick easy graphic which could've worked effectively if i decided to use them. They could be used in a different ad whether that's video based or paper based
Music / Sound
For the music and sound i knew exactly the type of music i wanted, a sad sounding track for the start of the ad and a more fast paced rock type score for the more fun and happy bit. All i needed to do was find them. I found the 2 perfect tracks on 2 different sites. Sites I used:
Bensound was the site i used to acquire the more energetic rocky song and Purple Planet Music was the one i found for my sad score.
Moving on to the "Foley" or sound effects I used in my final piece. I Searched many sites including the BBC to find the sound i needed. I ended up one 3 different sites for my sounds. Unfortunately I lost 2 of them but I know I used fesliyanstudios for my door knocking sound effect which you can hear after I find "PaulsCycles". The other three sounds i used were the door close that i believe is from soundbible and then the ping and click sound effects which I got from the same site and they were used for the pop ups that were displayed in the video.
Actual Ad Production:
This image shows when i had just set up my raw cut in the timeline and was ready to start adding music. Nothing fancy was done but you can see that I have a crossfade to start the ad off. Here is a screenshot taken quite late into the production process. as you can see, I implemented my music and sound effects along with the pop up, 1 text line and my adjustment layers. This is another screenshot of me showing how I'm using the lumetri on my adjustment layer. But you can also see that my original door knocking effect got corrupted / lost and I had to use the knock I used in my final piece which I wasn't happy with but I couldn't find the better knock again so I had to make do with this backup knock, which still works. This image shows how I implemented the companies services which included "fast delivery, The Cycle To Work Scheme and their finance scheme." after I mentioned the fast delivery I thought it would be a good idea to mention the different services that Pauls has along side this.
